EXTENSION TO AN EXISTING HOUSE
2015

The client approached for just a hand sketch of a plan and design guidance for an addition to an existing house, calling for a master bedroom & ensuite, and a spacious open plan living area while preserving the backyard. The design incorporates a closable study, defining a direct hallway towards the living block at the rear. The living block is stretched east, for maximum north light and view to the landscape and backyard. The garage has a direct access to the kitchen forming a smaller central courtyard that separates the old and new. Paying homage to the existing house, the new bay window aligns with the existing large living room window, giving an uninterruped view all the way to the backyard.
